Hey! My name's 'Jo Hamilton' or 'johamltn.' I make pixels dance, brands pop, and make aesthetics look hotter than their budget. I've been in front of the camera and in post production for a decade telling stories, learning, and taking on bold projects with a hint of chaos. Premium content and ads that stand out are my thing. Working both in front of and behind the camera has given me a solid feel for what makes a story click and taught me how to use every tool like light, sound, and pixel alongside motion (and a little emotion) to pull people in and make them feel like we’re on the same page, boat, or at least paddling in the same direction.
I have experience in 2D, 2.5D, and the infamous 3D, which is like ours - just with better lighting, and fewer physical laws. It’s the perfect space to tell stories, show off products, and invite people to step into your world.

I’ve worked on a range of short films involving visual effects, often jumping in during pre-production to build practical rigs for actors movements, and stunts as well as creating props, and costumes. Sometimes the best effects start with a hammer and end with a render.
My background in graphic design and visual effects has naturally evolved into motion graphics, a space where composition, pacing, and story meet. I use movement to give visuals emotion and purpose. Whether it’s for branding, film titles, or wild personal experiments, I love finding that sweet spot where design meets animation.
Like many VFX Artists, my experience with compositing started with Adobe's After Effects, but I have continued to expand my experience in film industry standard software such as Silhouette FX, and Nuke.
Design and composition techniques are some things I've enjoyed learning over the years, from social media composition to film and television using materials such as acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints while using solid and wet mediums in varying formats.
I'm familiar with the the Windows and Apple MacOs systems as well as having some experience navigating in Ubuntu Linux through the terminal and generating basic aliases.
